About Rev. Elie
Elie was born in the late 80's in Cameroon from a Christian family that fears and serves God. He was presented and dedicated to God as a baby in the temple by the Late Reverend Apostle Toukea Nestor, (Founder of The True Church of God of Cameroon and one of the spiritual forefathers and pillars of the church in Cameroon and Africa), who is at the same time his biological grand-uncle, his spiritual foundation, and the root source of all his ministerial gifts that were discovered, nurtured, sharpened, fathered and mentored by Apostle Nestor’s older brother (Elie’s grand-father and very first ordained Reverend Pastor of the True Church of God of Cameroon), his parents, uncles and many men of God he came in contact with along the journey. As a young child, he remembers traveling with Apostle Toukea during many of his missionary trips in the four corners of Cameroon. Elie’s father, a missionary, who took him at an early age to some his missionary trips in the most remote areas of Cameroon, gave him the middle name “Calice” according to Psalms 16:5. Calice means: cup full of blessings than suffering. According to his father, at a very tender age, Elie had a sense of the prophetic already in him. One day, as they were together, a pastor approached his father to reveal to him that his son (Elie Calice) is a pastor.
At an early age, the passion for sanctification, consecration and selfless service was burning in Elie. He started to practice Godliness not because his parents were behind him or because they were Christians, but because he had an encounter with Jesus-Christ and a special call to be a worldwide God's vessel for His Glory. At the Children Sunday School at The True Church of God of Cameroon, the instructors saw a leader in Elie and were trusting him to be in charge of the other children in class when they stepped out. Elie was actively involved serving in different capacities and was often chosen to speak for the class at main events.
Few years later, Elie moved to Yaoundé at the Holy Church of Christ International where he served in different capacities, but mainly in the shadows as a counselor and mentor of children, youth & young adults, and occasionally preaching and teaching at main gatherings and events, until his immigration to the United States in 2005.
From the first day he landed in the United States in 2005, Elie freely used his gifts, talents, skills and resources to serve and help advance the Kingdom of God in many churches, ministries and organizations in the DMV area (Washington DC, Maryland & Virginia), remotely in Africa, North America and Europe according to Matthew 10:8 ERV: "Heal the sick. Bring the dead back to life. Heal the people who have leprosy. And force demons out of people. I give you these powers freely, so help others freely..."
For more than 18 years, in the shadows and out the shadows, Elie have wholeheartedly, tirelessly, faithfully and disinterestedly served at JCUM, Inc. as a Board Director, Operations Manager and General Secretary and at Jesus Christ Universal Mission Church as a Usher, Sanctuary Keeper, Intercessor, Driver, Driving Instructor, Armor-bearer, Lead Instrumentalist, Musician, Office Clerk, Overseer's Personal Assistant & Secretary, Webmaster, Photographer, Videographer, Youth Counselor, Sunday School Teacher, Multimedia Director, Christian Counselor, Interpreter/Translator, Youth Pastor, Transportation Department Director, Facility Manager, IT Department Director, Social Media Manager, Writer & Editor, Graphic Designer, Praise & Worship Ministry Leader, Database Administrator, Chaplain, Assistant Pastor, Associate Pastor, etc...
Elie’s Journey is a journey of Proverbs 24:16: "Good people might fall again and again, but they always get up. It is the wicked who are defeated by their troubles."
That journey can be resumed in these 2 Bible verses in Romans 8:30-31 ERV: Verse 30 "God planned for [Calice] to be like HIS Son (Jesus Christ). He chose [Calice] and made [him] right with HIM. And after He made [Calice] right, He gave [him] His glory.
Behind every Glory, there is a story. Elie’s story is a story of imperfections, mistakes, trials, obstacles, failures, hardships, misunderstandings, rejections, betrayals, forgiveness, redemption, amazing grace, mercy and divine favor. He knows the trials are not over because 2 Timothy 3:12 says: "Everyone who wants to live showing true devotion to God in Christ Jesus will be persecuted." But "Christ is the one who gives [him] the strength [he] need[s] to do whatever [he] must do." Philippians 4:13 ERV, with God always by his side.
Romans 8:31: "So what should we say about [all] this? If God is for [Calice], no one can stand against [Calice]. And God is with [Calice]."
Elie is happily married to his one and only beautiful and talented wife Julia Manuella with whom he faithfully and fearlessly serves the True God and Eternal Life, Jesus Christ.
